Admission
Admission to Primary 1 is by interview with the Head Teacher. Vacancies in other Primary Classes are filled each year as a result of interview and assessment.
Admission to the Secondary Department is by Entrance Examination for pupils applying from other schools. Pupils from Fernhill Primary Department are offered automatic entry before the Entrance Examination takes place in February. Any remaining places are then offered to pupils from other schools, based on their performance in the examination.
Vacancies at other stages in the Secondary Department occur occasionally. Enquiries about these should be addressed to the Office Manager.
Open Evening
The major Open Evening of the school year occurs in October. This occasion will allow prospective parents to view the School and talk to members of staff.
All members of staff are present on this occasion and all classrooms are open for inspection.
The date for this evening and any further details required may be obtained from the Office Manager. As these dates are subject to change each year, it is advisable to telephone the school beforehand.
