Former Pupils

Many of our former pupils have achieved success in various professional fields. These successes are recorded in the school magazine. 90% of any given Fifth or Sixth year go on to university or college education after leaving Fernhill School. Although Fernhill School only opened in 1973 as a secondary school, some of the girls who attended our first years at Fernhill now have sons and daughters of their own attending Fenhill Primary School.

Pupil List

Wilma Dale

Wilma returned to Fernhill School after graduating in English and History. She taught for a few years with us and then moved to America where she now lives in New York with her husband and baby daughter Charlotte. Recently, Wilma has been setting up a new career for herself in photography.

Mhairi Mckay

Mhairi’s is a season professional golfer. She has world ranking in the top 30 and plays regularly in the L.P.G.A. and European Tours. She was a member of the Solheim Cup Team in September 2002 and placed joint second in the South Korean Tournament in October 2002.

Melissa Forshaw

Melissa was appointed Assistant Concert Director in the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in November 2003.

Joanne McGregor

After leaving Fernhill School in 2001, Joanne went on to obtain an honours degree in Marketing and Spanish from Strathclyde University. Joanne now lives in Girona in Spain where she is currently developing her own online business.
