Child Protection

The school operates a strict Child Protection Policy. Members of staff are instructed to bring any matter which gives them cause for concern to the attention of the Head Teacher. The School holds a full Child Protection Policy in the Staff Handbook.

Anti-Bullying

All complaints in regards to bullying, made by either pupils or parents, are taken seriously and investigated by the Head Teacher. The School has an Anti-Bullying Policy which is kept under review.

Misuse of Drugs

All staff members are fully aware of the school’s policy concerning the Misuse of Drugs. Any incidents in connection with the policy will immediately be brought to the attention of the Head Teacher and parents will be notified and appropriate action will be taken.

Health and Safety

Staff and pupils are frequently reminded about issues concerning Health and Safety procedures in the school. The school’s Health and Safety Policy is regularly updated.

Discrimination

Fernhill School does not tolerate any instance of religious or racial discrimination. Parents will be notified should any breach of this policy occur.
