Parents Teacher Association
The aim of Fernhill School Parent Teacher Association is to engage in fund-raising activities to benefit the education and welfare of the pupils of Fernhill School
Fernhill School Parent Teacher Association would like to welcome you to our page on the School website.
We have had a very busy year so far with the Primary Halloween parties and the very successful Christmas Fayre. We raised more than £2000 so thanks to you all for your help and support.
We have also been busy spending the money raised on:
• Halloween parties
• Updating Santa’s Grotto
• Hopscotch performances
• Health Awareness days
• Primary Christmas parties and gifts
• Books for the Book Club
• Stage lights for the Hall
• Plants for the gardens
• Musical Instruments
• Media trolley
• Sports equipment
The pupils had lots of fun at both the Primary Halloween parties. There was dooking for apples, games and dancing. The Fancy Dress outfits were fantastic and the PTA had as much fun as the children!
The stalls at the Christmas Fayre did a roaring trade. Santa paid us a visit even although he has a hectic schedule at that time of year.
Please note that any donations for both the Adult Tombola, Children’s Tombola and Raffle are welcome throughout the year – whether clearing out pre or post Christmas or Spring cleaning. By doing this, you are not only decluttering but supporting PTA fundraising. We will be grateful to receive your donations.
The proposed Quiz Night in February has been postponed but we hope to organise an event in May.
As usual, the PTA will be at Sports Day in June, so watch out for our stalls including the tombola, raffle and strawberries and cream as well as fun for the children.
The Swap Shop is run by the PTA and if anyone has unwanted, good uniform items, or wishes to buy, please contact the School office. Members of the PTA committee attend various functions throughout the year e.g Parents’ Evenings, so watch out for them.
If any parent would like to join our happy band of parents and teachers please contact Mrs Campbell (0141 632 2674) and she will be delighted to welcome you on board. Any ideas for further fund-raising events would be gratefully accepted and suggestions can be sent via e-mail to:
where the office will pass on the details to committee members.
